A Single-Weekend Spring Cleanout Plan for KC Homes
Most cleanouts that drag into Monday do so because of poor sequencing. Here's a tight three-day plan that works for most KC homes.
Three steps and a phone call. Here's what each step looks like in practice, what we need from you, and what to expect at every point.
Call (816) 427-6571You: tell us your zip, what you're tossing, ideal date. Us: recommend a size, quote a flat rate, book a delivery window. Total time: about two minutes.
Same-day on most orders. Driver calls 30 min before arrival. Boards laid down on driveway. Dumpster placed where you point. Pictures taken so we both have a record.
Load on your schedule, up to one week included. When done — or any day before — call us. We pick up within 24 hours of your call. Final invoice based on actual tonnage.
We give you a delivery window — typically 2–4 hours. Most of our drops land in the first hour. The driver calls when he's about 30 minutes out, so you can move cars or open a gate if needed.
Before placement: the driver walks the driveway with you, confirms exactly where you want it, and lays down 2x12 lumber where the dumpster's roll wheels will sit. The boards stay there for the duration of the rental and protect the concrete from indents and rust marks.
The dumpster gets rolled off the truck — not dropped. It's a controlled lower, takes 30 seconds. Final placement check, photo for both records, and the driver hands you a one-page summary with the swap-out and pickup numbers.
If you've placed it on the street, the permit and reflective markings are checked on delivery. More on that permit process here.
Load on your schedule. There's no minimum daily progress, no inspection visits. The standard rental is one week — most people finish in 2–3 days; some take the full seven.
The walls of the dumpster are the load line. Missouri DOT doesn't allow loading above the rim. If you're getting close, it's time to call for a swap or finish up.
Need extra days? Extensions are $12/day, billed at pickup. Just call before the week ends.
Need a swap mid-job? Common on whole-house remodels. We pull the full one, drop a fresh empty within 24 hours. You pay one flat rate per dumpster plus disposal tonnage on each.
Call when you're done — or any earlier day if you finished fast. We typically pick up within 24 hours of your call, Mon–Sat. No surprise charges; the flat rate covers everything up to your tonnage cap.
After we weigh the load at the disposal facility, you get a final invoice. If you came in under tonnage, you pay the quoted flat rate. If you went over, the overage is billed per ton (typically $65/ton for general C&D in KC). Most loads come in under cap.
Where it goes: general C&D heads to the city-approved transfer station. Yard-waste-only loads go to composting. Recyclables — metal, clean cardboard, intact appliances — get diverted where the load allows.

A KC basement finish generates debris in three distinct phases. Sizing and timing your dumpster for each.
